Summertown helps global pharmaceutical company Takeda build their new LEED certifiedMiddle East HQ.
Takeda, the global Japanese pharmaceutical company, sought a new Middle East HQ to bring together its geographies (India, CIS countries, the Middle East, Turkey and Africa) at a new strategic location in Dubai. Despite the challenges arising from the COVID-19 outbreak, our Middle East partner, Summertown Interiors delivered the 2,075sqm ‘design and build’ office project in partnership with Dubai-based interior design firm Roar successfully whilst adopting the highest possible health and safety measures.
The stunning new office is a blend of traditional Japanese design philosophy with modern mathematical efficiency that is anchored in local culture. Summertown led the LEED certification process for the design and build project which achieved a certification level of Silver. During the construction phase, the project team established environment friendly strategies for construction waste management, segregating the waste and sending it for recycling/reusing/composting to reduce the carbon footprint of the project.
